About the role

Lead our ECO-Team. Audit residential recycling bins, support public education events, and help our customers recycle right. Mornings 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM, about 25 hours per week.

Description

This position is responsible for coordinating and participating in all California Waste Solutions (CWS) public education activities and events. The individual will also lead CWS's ECO-Team in auditing resident recycle bins and providing courtesy notices to customers when they are not using their home recycle bins properly, while educating them on the proper way to recycle.

Responsibilities

• Audit customers' home recycling bin for contamination.
• Participate in company public education activities and events, including evenings and/or weekends.
• Participate in community volunteer programs and company event logistics.
• Provide educational literature for customers.
• Other responsibilities as needed and required.

Requirements

• Proficiency with commonly used Microsoft software programs.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to interact with diverse people.
• Good general oral and written communication skills.
• Morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work will be required at times.
• Valid California Driver's License required.
• Clean DMV record required.
• Must have a reliable vehicle for required job-related travel (compensated with mileage reimbursement).
• Background and drug test are required.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in collection or transportation industry a plus.
• Bilingual, Spanish a plus.
